About the lecture: Big data is to investigate the generation, acquisition, mining and integration of mass data. We need to quickly acquire and predict the information from mass data that can influence future in the era of big data. In fact, the source of big data is quite broad including satellites in the sky, cars on the ground, various sensors buried in the soil. If the data are used comprehensively, the social and economic value will be incalculable. This report introduces big data mainly from the basic concepts, characteristics and problems, the quintessence and essence, processing technology and challenges, big data application and the influence on the future, which will contribute to people’s understanding of the history, current situation and future of big data.
