About the Lecturer:Chen, Ph.D. in Engineering, is a professor and Master Thesis Supervisor at School of Architectural Engineering, North China University of Science and Technology; a Visiting Scholar at University of Nevada and Beijing University of Technology; Vice President of Tangshan Institute of Green Building Industrial Technology. In Architectural Society of China, he is a member of Architectural Industry Modernization Development Committee, Vice Chairman of Specialized Committee of Talent Education, and Executive Member of Academic Committee of Industrialized Building. He has published 6 books and more than 90 academic papers. Now, he is in charge of 13 projects supported by national and provincial natural science foundation and provincial department of housing and urban-rural development. Besides, he won the second prize of Hebei Science and Technology Progress Award, and has been authorized 8 patents for innovation. His major research fields are industrialized building, composite structure and earthquake resistant engineering.
