Lecturer:Songbo Sun

About the Lecturer:Songbo Sun, born in May 2001, began to learn piano at the age of 4 and a half. Sun learned from Hua Chang, professor at Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM) Middle School from 2010, entered CCOM Primary School in 2011, and CCOM Middle School in 2014.

He held his first solo piano recital in 2011, and was invited to participate in the Australian “Tutti” music festival in 2012. Besides, Sun has held a piano recital at Grotrian-Steinweg Company in June 2016 and 4 solo concerts at the Concert Hall, College of Arts Yanbian University from 2013 to 2017.

Awards and Prizes:

The First Prize at Beijing Session of the 2nd“Good Way” National Youth Piano Competition in 2011;

The Second Prize at China Session of Portugal the 18thSanta Cecília International Youth Piano Competition in May 2016;

The First Prize at the 6thShenzhen Piano Open Competition Professional Junior Group in July 2016;

Enrolled in CCOM “Best of the Best” Program ranking the second in November 2016;

“Fan Jianqin Scholarship” of CCOM for two consecutive years;

Selected American Piano Texas music festival in 2017 where he was rated the most valuable player by Tamás Ungár, the sponsor and former art director of Van Cliburn competition.
