Lecturer introduction:Chen Anyue is the Chair Professor of the Department of Mathematics, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUST). He graduated from the Department of Mathematics of Peking University in 1970, and received his PhD degree from Central South University in 1988. He is also the first doctor student of the famous Chinese mathematician Professor Hou Zhenting. He worked in the Department of Mathematics, Beijing Jiaotong University from 1981 to 1988; worked in the University of Edinburgh, University of Nottingham, University of Greenwich, UK from 1988 to 2007; worked as an associate professor of statistics and actuarial sciences at the University of Hong Kong (UHK) from 2005 to 2007; worked as a chair professor from 2007 to 2012 still at UHK, also Chairman of the Department of Mathematics at the University of Liverpool, UK. From 2012 till now, he has been working as the Chair professor of the Department of Mathematics at SUST. Prof. Chen Anyue has made a number of important research achievements in Markov process, branching process, birth and death process, theory of formation of Markov process, queuing theory, and so on, and has already had an important impact in the world. His academic papers were published by some international first-rate journals,Advances in Applied Probability、Journal of Applied Probability、Stochastic Processes & Their Applications、Probab. Theory Rel. Fields、Proc. R. Soc. Lond. B、Journal of Theoretic Probability、Queueing Systems.
