Pang Guofang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Researcher of the Chinese Academy of Inspection and Quarantine, Deputy Director of the China National Food Quality National Standards Evaluation Committee, Deputy Director of the China National Food Safety Risk Assessment Expert Committee, Senior AOAC Expert, 2014 AOACHarvey W. Wiley Award, The winner of the 2017 Ho Leung Ho Lee Fund Science and Technology Progress Award. He has been working on the inspection and quarantine for more than 30 years, committed to the research of the theory and practice of food science detection technology, and conducted pioneering research work in the fields of micro-analysis technology for pesticides and other residual traces of chemical contaminants.

His innovations were demonstrated in many areas such as studying on high-sensitivity, high-selection, and high-resolution multi-residue rapid detection technologies and new methods; studying on new methods such as extraction, separation, and enrichment. He has made great achievements in the standardization of inspection technology engineering, based on which 139 national technical standards and 3 international AOAC standards were established. He won the second prize of national science and technology progress three times and won the international AOAC science and technology award eight times. 19 books (30 million words), more than 110 papers (40 SCI papers) were published.
