Lecturer profile:Doctor Lv Xiaolong, PhD, researcher, doctoral supervisor, is a professor ofDepartment of Applied Chemistry, Tianjin Polytechnic University. He is selected as the candidate of “The New Century Talents Project”, and he is also theState Council Special Allowance Expert and Tianjin Organic Polymer Materials Expert. He is a Director of Biology and Chemistry Research Institute of Tianjin University. He graduated from the Department of Applied Chemistry of Tianjin University in 1984, and received a MA degree from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of Tianjin University in June 1987. In the same year, he worked at Tianjin Polytechnic University and received his PhD degree from Tianjin Polytechnic University on August 2, 2003.
He was awarded the National May 1 Labor Medal in 2006, the 8th China Youth Science and Technology Award in 2004, the Model Worker in Tianjin in 2005, and the first “Outstanding Youth Talent Award” in Tianjin in 1998. Deputy Secretary-General ofMembrane Industry Association of ChinaExpert Committee, Director of Hydrophobic Membrane Technology and Engineering Application Committee ofMembrane Industry Association of China, Standing Director of China Sea Desalination and Water Reuse Society and Deputy Director of Water Reuse Special Committee, Vice Director of Beijing Membrane Society, and Deputy Director of Tianjin Biomedical Engineering Association.
He has presided over more than 30 scientific research projects at or above the national and provincial level, including the major industrialization projects of the State Planning Commission and the 863 and 973 projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Natural Science Foundation. He has won one second prize for national technology inventions, nine provincial and ministerial-level science and technology awards, and one Tianjin outstanding patent award. He has published more than 240 research papers by the first or correspondent author.
