Lecturer Profile:

Dr. Liu Haijian is a professor of Business Administration, School of Business, Nanjing University. His main research interests include corporate social responsibility and ethical judgment, Chinese enterprise internationalization, corporate political strategy and corporate transformation research. In recent years, he has published more than 50 articles papers in famous domestic and international academic journals such as Global Strategy Journal, Technovation, Journal of Business Research, Frontier of Business Research in China, Nankai Business Review International, Management World, China Industrial Economy, Nankai Management Review. He is currently a peer reviewer in the Business Administration discipline of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Emerging markets Finance and Trade (SSCI), Tourism Management (SSCI), China Industrial Economy, Nankai Management Review, Management Review, andan anonymous reviewer of the Journal of Management, Nanda Business Review, and anonymous reviewers of several prestigious academic conferences. He is currently a member of the Strategic Management Society and a member of the International Association for Management Studies (IACMR). Hosted 4 National Natural Science Foundations and 1 Humanities and Social Sciences Fund of the Ministry of Education, and won many titles of young backbone teachers of Nanjing University and many provincial and ministerial awards.

Lecture Content:

The second-hand data in management research is very common. For example, more than 70% of papers in strategic management research use second-hand data. Therefore, learning how to use second-hand data for scientific research is a basic skill. This lecture system describes the advantages, characteristics, sources and precautions of second-hand data, and based on one or two specific papers, discusses the use of secondary data and related strategies.
