Speaker Introduction
Prof. Zhang Huan is a famous musicologist, music educator, Xinjiang Kashgar, second-level professor, doctoral supervisor. Prof. Zhang is also a Senior Research Fellow of Asia-Europe Music and Art Research Center, Shanghai Conservatory of Music. She is also a member of the Teaching Advisory Committee under the MoE (Music and Dance), an expert in the degree and postgraduate education of the MoE, an executive director of the Chinese Uyghur Classical Literature and Muqam Society, a member of the Chinese Musicians Association, and a Chairman of the Urumqi Music and Dance Association, a librarian of the Literature and History Research Institute of the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and Chief Scholar of Gansu Provincial National Music Research Center. She is also a visiting professor at some high education institution: Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing Normal University, Capital Normal University, China Conservatory of Music. She is the judges of the China Music Golden Bell Awards, and the convener of the National Art Foundation. She has published more than 50 papers, published monographs, edited and textbooks.
She has presided over seven National Social Science projects such. He has won the “National Excellent Education Workers” and the “National Mingde Teacher Award” from the MoE, the “Experts with Outstanding Contributions” by the Party Committee and the People’s Government of the Autonomous Region, the “Tianshan Talents (First Level)” of the Autonomous Region, among other titles. She had organized some performance teams (Chorus, Accordion Orchestra, Muqam Art Troupe) and performed in dozens of countries and regions in Europe, America, Oceania and Asia, and won numerous awards and praises in competitions and performances. They were praised as cultural messenger.
The research of the National Social Science Project “Theory and Practice of Dual Musicality” and “Research on Central Asian Music from the Perspective of Cultural Anthropology” were rated as excellent. In recent years, she advocated the concept of promoting dual musicality at home and abroad. She has lectured and exchanged with nearly 100 universities at home and abroad such as Peking University, Renmin University of China, Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Boston University, and has been widely praised by peer experts.
