Dr Liang is a chair lecturer professor of Nanobiology, Institute of Nanotechnology, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences

Dr Liang is a Research Fellow of the National Nano-science Center, and he was included in Chinese Academy of Sciences “Hundred Talents Program” (2007). He is the receiver of special allowance of the State Council (2010), National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (2012), Young and Middle-aged Science and Technology Innovation Talents of the Ministry of Science and Technology (2017), the Central Organization Department Talents (2019). In 2000, he received his Ph.D. in the Department of Membrane Molecular Biology, National Key Laboratory of Bio-macromolecules, Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. During the period 2000-2005, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NCI, NIH) Michael M. Gottesman, and was an assistant professor in the Department of Radiation Medicine at Research Fellow and Howard University in the NINDS Neuro-Tumor Surgery Laboratory from 2005 to 2007.

After returning to China in 2007, he worked at the National Nanoscience Center. He was elected as a scholar of the “Hundred Talents Program” of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and was selected as the outstanding scientist in 2012. He is the chief scientist of the major research project. He is currently the deputy director of the Key Laboratory of Nano-Bio-effects and Safety of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the director of the Nano-biology Branch of the Chinese Society of Biophysics, a member of the Special Committee of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association, and the deputy director of the Nano Biotechnology Branch of the China Biomedical Technology Society.

At present, he is mainly engaged in the biological effects of nanostructures, as well as the mechanism of designing and constructing nano-medicines to overcome the tolerance of clinical applicability. He has published more than 290 papers in international important academic journals such as Nature Nanotechnology, PNAS, Cancer Research, ACS Nano, Advanced Materials, Biomaterials, etc. The citation rate of the article is over 13,000 times, H-index > 62. He is currently Editor-in-Chief of Current Drug Delivery, Associate Editor of Biophysics Reports and Biomaterials, Editor of the Advisory Committee of ACS Nano and Advanced Therapeutics, Editor of Theranostics, Biomaterials Research, Bio-conjugate Chemistry.
