Speaker Introduction

Prof. Lu Meizhen received her MA degree in dance at Ohio State University, and became a qualified teacher in Laban Dance. In 2006, he was appointed as the director of the Dance Spectrum Library, teaching the Laban dance and thematic dance music courses in the Dance Music Bureau, and teaching the summer dance teacher qualification program at the Ohio State University Dance Bureau branch office. She is a team expert at the China Laban Center of Beijing Normal University and a visiting professor at Shanghai Normal University. She has published the Laban Dance Book and the Dance Bureau archives can be found in the journals of the DNB Library News, Performing Arts Resources and Dance Chronicle and the Journal of the Beijing Dance Academy.

Lecture Content

1. Discussing the birth of the 20th century Laban dance spectrum theory and the development of dance spectrum in Europe and America;

2. Analyzing the potential relationship between Laban dance and dance ideas and layout design;

3. Sharing the Laban dance record and retain the pattern, inherit and develop the possibility of dance innovation.
