YSU organized the 51th National Higher Education Institutes Symposium of Philosophical and Social research

(News from News Center) July 22---July 26, the 51th National Higher Education Institutes Symposium of Philosophical and Social Research, hosted by China Education Press attached to Ministry of Education and organized by YSU, was held in conference room 109 in students’ activity center on YSU east campus. 400 faculty members and graduate students from YSU and 160 teachers from other universities attended the symposium which aims to provide guidance for college teachers to apply for State Social Science Fund Project, National Education Science Planning project, and Ministry of Education of Humanities and Social Science project. Seven experts and scholars were invited to give lectures.

Lei Gao, Director of the training center of China Education Press, hosted the opening ceremony. Prof. Xiangdong Kong, YSU Vice President, addressed the opening ceremony. He welcomed the experts and teachers attending the symposium, introduced YSU and YSU humanities disciplines, and expressed his hope that the symposium would benefit the teachers.

Duringthe symposium, leaders from China Education and Scientific Research Institute attached to Ministry of Education, leaders from Research Department of Central Party Institute, and other experts, including Mingquan Sun, deputy director of Guangming Daily media center; Prof. Jian Lin from Tsinghua University; Yaoming Zhang, former Editor-in-Chief of Xinhua Digest; Lei Gao, Director of the training center of China Education Press; Jixuan Fan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Yellow River University of Science and Technology Journal; gave lectures on project application procedure and paper submission.

Experts answered questions and had an interactive discussion with the teachers, commenting on the papers and applications teachers submitted.Experts explained project application procedures and key problems with a case study and introduced how to enhance academic ideas from the perspective of journal editors, giving full guidance to college teachers on social science fund projects application and paper writing and submission.
