【From News Center】 On Feb. 27th, Prof. Long Lin, Dean of School of Color Chemistry, University of Leeds, visited YSU. YSU President Hongmin Liu and Vice President Fucheng Zhang gave a warm welcome to Prof. Lin and expressed their wishes to conduct cooperation between the two universities. After that, heads of International Cooperation Division, Office of Human Resources, and School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering had a conference with Prof. Lin.

The conference
At the Conference, Guosheng Teng, Chief of International Cooperation Division, welcomed Professor Lin, introduced YSU and the internationalization of YSU, and expressed his wishes to cooperate with University of Leeds. Gaoyi Zhou, Deputy Director of Human Resources, introduced YSU policies on employment of high-level faculty. Then, teachers of relevant research fields discussed academic problems with Prof. Lin. Finally, Prof. Lin introduced University of Leeds and talked about his personal experience and scientific research. He also wished to cooperate with YSU in the field of color and polymer chemistry.
Foundedin 1831 and located in the central area of Leeds -- the second largest financial city of the UK, University of Leeds is one of the largest universities in the UK. One of the top 100 universities in the world, it is called the Red Brick University like University of Manchester, and ranked one of the top 10 universities in terms of the number of graduates hired by top enterprises in the UK. In 2014, the comprehensive strength of University of Leeds ranked the 10th in the UK according to REF (Research Excellence Framework), the only officially authorized organization.
