(News from News Center) “Hebei Night”, an event of the China Development Forum hosted byDevelopment Research Center of the State Council (DRC) and People’s Government of Hebei Province, was held in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse on Mar. 18thand 19th. Themed by “Opportunity and Cooperation---Hebei at Transition” and helped by the world influence of China Development Forum, the activity grasped the opportunity that presidents and CEOs of well-known multinational corporations, including some Fortune 500 companies gathered inone place. It publicized the development opportunities, investment environment, and priorities of the13thFive-Year Planin an all-round way to build a platform and create opportunities for key enterprises to carry out pragmatic cooperation with Fortune 500 companies. YSU President Hongmin Liu wasinvited to participate in the event.
JiaominLiu, Director of Hebei Education Department, met with Nobel Economics Prizewinners and well-known scholars.
On afternoon of Mar. 19th, President Liu attended aseries of activities held in Fanghua Garden of Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, including: Secretary of Hebei Party Committee Kezhi Zhao and Governor of Hebei Province Qingwei Zhang meeting with 6 Nobel Economics Prize winners and internationally well-known scholars, relevant higher education institutes communicating with their pairing experts and scholars respectively, and all attendees from both home and abroad having a grand evening dinner. President Liu communicated with Michael Spence, winner of 2001 Nobel Economics Prize and professor of New York University of the United States. He introduced YSU to Mr.Spence and expressed good wishes to cooperate with New York University.
