【News from News Center】Students from School of Arts and Design won a gold medal, a bronze medal, twoExcellence Awardsin the just concluded“China-Impression”2016University Design & Innovation Contest. Zhenzhen Zhang, a YSU undergraduate guided by Weishang Liu, teacher of the Department of Visual Communication Design, won the gold medal; Weishang Liu Excellent Instructor Award;and YSU the Outstanding Organization Award.
Sponsored by the China Higher Education Association, and hosted by School of Design and Arts at Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication and the organizing committee of“China-Impression”,this contest received from 132 colleges and universities at home and abroad a total of 4210 (sets) effective works, including 4021 (sets) student works and 189 (sets) teacher works. Finally, 3 gold medals, 8 silver medals, 11 bronze medals, 113 outstanding prizes and some finalist awards in the student group were selected.
YSU teachers and students of the Department of Visual Communication Design, School of Arts and Design, carefully prepared and actively participated in the contest. Taking advantage of this contest, School of Arts and Design integrated classroom teaching and practice teaching.
Theaward-winning works and papers will be respectively included and published in Award-Winning Works of “China-Impression”2016 University Design & Innovation Contest and Award-Winning Collection of Papers of “China-Impression”2016 University Design & Innovation Contest.
