YSU Scored High in 2017 "Challenge Cup" Hebei Undergraduate Curricular Academic Science and Technology Contest

[News from News Center] The 2017 "Challenge Cup" Hebei Undergraduate Curricular Academic Science and Technology Final Contest was held at Hebei University of Science and Technology on May 21st. 25 entries by YSU were awarded, including: 4 Special Prizes, 9 First Prizes, 8 Second Prizes, and 4 Third Prizes. Besides, YSU won the provincial Outstanding Organization Award.

On the morning of May 20th, the exhibition of the entries was held at the gymnasium of Hebei University of Science and Technology. Huaying Song, Secretary of Hebei Communist Youth League; Tingshan Wang, Deputy Director of Hebei Education Department; and other leaders watched the exhibition and exchanged views with students in the contest.

Fully launched in March, the contest received a total of 1512 works from 77 universities in Hebei. 1090 works entered into the provincial stage. After the preliminary assessment, reassessment, and the final Q&A by 23 experts from the Hebei Academy of Social Sciences, the Provincial Party School, and the provincial scientific research institutes, 917 entries were selected and awarded.

It is reported that the "Challenge Cup" is known as the Olympics of Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Chinese college students. It is the most popular national competition at present for Chinese undergraduates. The contest was organized by the Hebei Communist Youth League, Hebei Education Department, Hebei Association for Science and Technology, Hebei Academy of Social Sciences, Hebei Students Federation; and hosted by Hebei University of Science and Technology.
