[News from News Center] On June 19th, YSU delegation, led by President Hongmin Liu and Vice President Xiangdong Kong, visited SANY Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd for promoting YSU Industry-University-Research synergetic development and deepening school-enterprise cooperation. The two parties discussed profoundly and signed related agreements on establishment of YSU Technology Transfer Sub-center and graduates’Internship Base, and joint training of graduates. Dean of Graduate School Yingping Guan, Dean of Science& Technology Office Tieshi Zhao, Director of National University High-Tech Park Dianfan Zhang, and Deputy Director of Center of Technology Transfer Yuehua Wang were in this delegation.

President Liu and the delegation was warmly welcomed by Chairman of SANY Heavy Machinery Hongfu Yu, Chief Inspector of Human Resource Jinghui Deng, Director of R&D Institute of SANY Large Excavator Donghui Cao, Director of R&D Institute of SANY Mini Excavator Chunhui Wang, Director of R&D Institute of SANY Medium Excavator Chuanbao Zhu, and Secretary of Technical Management Department under R&D Institute of SANY Large Excavator Tongman Wang. YSU delegation firstly visited labs, testing centers, assembly workshops, and then had a meeting with Chairman Yu and other leaders of SANY Heavy Machinery in No.1 Conference Room, SANY Heavy Machinery Administration Building. The meeting was hosted by Director Donghui Zhao.

At the conference, YSU Vice President Kong introduced YSU delegation and the cooperation between the two parties. Chairman Yu introduced SANY Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd and indicated that the deep cooperation between SANY Heavy Machinery and YSU accorded with many national strategies, such as innovation-driven development and manufacturing power strategy, which is also a meaningful event to boost industry development combining industry, university and research. President Liu said that SANY, the leading brand in engineering machinery industry, has the dream of national industry and its modernized labs serve manufacturing. Main disciplines and majors at YSU closely match the core technology of SANY Heavy Machinery. SANY Heavy Machinery needs innovation support to develop; meanwhile, YSU academic progress needs the support from industry. Thus, he hoped the two parties to carry out more profound and broad cooperation, synergetic innovation development, and joint training of students, thus achieving mutual benefit and the win-win situation.

The two parties signed agreements on establishment of YSU Technology Transfer Sub-center, internship base for YSU full-time Master's degree candidates, and joint training of graduates. And the inauguration ceremony of YSU Technology Transfer Sub-center in Kunshan and YSU Internship Base for Graduates was held. In addition, President Liu issued Letters of Appointment of adjunct professor and mentor to Chairman Hongfu Yu and Director Donghui Cao.
