[News from News Center] In order to enhance college students’ in-depth understanding of YSU disciplines, select outstanding undergraduates for Master’s and Doctor’s degree at YSU, and attract more talents to join YSU, School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Electrical Engineering, School of Information Science and Engineering and School of Science separately organized 2017 Summer Camp for Excellent College Students,sponsored by the Admissions and Career Department Services.
The quality of graduate students is of great importance to the development of scientific research, personnel training and the promotion of comprehensive competitiveness. After full investigation, Admissions and Career Department Services, combining YSU features and current student source, selected some YSU key disciplines for 2017 Summer Camp for Excellent College Students. The camp aims to build a platform for key university students to have a close contact with and understanding of YSU. At the same time, it is an important step to improve student quality and attract outstanding students for YSU.
From setting up plans and signing up in early June to the opening ceremony and successful closing up in July, 2017 Summer Camp lasted for nearly two months. A total of more than 200 colleges and universities students nationwide filed for admission. After a rigorous selection, 118 elite students were enrolled in this year's summer camp.

School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Electrical Engineering, School of Information Science and Engineering and School of Science carefully designed and arranged the activities. In order to attract outstanding students, each school not only made announcements on YSU website and graduate admission website, but also timely pushed information by using WeChat platform, QQ group and other new media. They actively encouraged teachers and students to give targeted publicity, thus achieving good results. Through school history introduction, teacher lectures, mentor exchange, experimenting and visiting, the camp presented YSU and her academic charm to students from all over the country and won unanimous recognition and praise.
Starting with the camp, YSU 2018 graduate enrollment publicity officially began. Admissions and Career Department Services will constantly innovate enrollment publicity policies and target at better student sources, adding impetus to the further development of YSU towards a high-level university.
