[News from News Center] From August 21stto 24th, The 12thInternational Conference on Queueing Theory and Network Application (QTNA2017) was hosted by YSU School of Economics and Management in Qinhuangdao. Over 130 conventioneers from the USA, Japan, Europe, mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other countries and regions attended the conference. Prof. Quanlin Li, YSU School of Economics and Management and Prof. Wuyi Yue, Konan University, Japan took theGeneral Chairsof the conference. YSU President Hongmin Liu attended and addressed the opening ceremony.
The conference
QTNA has been held for 11 sessions consecutively in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, China, Vietnam, USA, New Zealand, and other countries and regions since 2006. YSU School of Economics and Management hosted QTNA2017. On the ceremony, Hongmin Liu introduced YSU to attendees and addressed the welcoming speech. He hoped that, taking this opportunity, all the conventioneers could communicate and cooperate with YSU.

During the conference, conventioneers made reports on following topics: network model for financial systemic risk; intelligent computing theories and methods of Markov process, matrix-analytic approach to Markov-modulated Brownian motion, and computing theory in structured Markov chains; data center network, green network and energy-efficient strategy, online service system and delay reduction technology, optimized dynamic scheduling of cloud services and cloud computing, systematic performance evaluation on Internet and online network, healthcare system, bike sharing system, and queue of production and inventory; optimization theory of queuing system, queuing Markov decision process, queuing game model, retrial queue, shared queue, fluid queue, fluid and diffusion approximation of queuing network, and dynamic control and scheduling of queuing network. These topics are all important international research subjects which are hot and difficult.
