[News from News Center] Several days ago, after provincial selection, online voting, expert-evaluating and online notification,Ode to Homeland, Han Chinese clothing design sent by School of Humanities and Law and recommended by YSU Communist Youth League Committee, was awarded national excellent Chinese traditional culture education art work in 2017.
This prize-winning work was accomplished together by Ying Yang, Qi An, and Yifan Pei from YSU Chinese Traditional Culture Club. This handmade garment combines Chinese etiquette culture and the unique character of the Han, showing a country of garments, a state of ceremonies and a splendid China. The 12 lines of Chinese ancient poems in cursive script on the sleeves reflect the socialist core values, showing that the club is based on reality and advances with the times.
In order to carry out the spirit of important speeches by General Secretary Jinping Xi, guide the young students to inherit and carry forward the fine traditional Chinese culture, cultivate the core values of socialism, enhance the cultural confidence and values of adolescent students and jointly build the spiritual home of the Chinese nation, School of Chinese Communist Youth League Central Committee, Secretariat of All-China Students’ Federation and China Young Pioneers National Working Commission Office held this nation-wide activity called “Six 100” to select excellent Chinese traditional culture projects.
This prize not only affirmed the designers’ ability but also activated the atmosphere of learning Chinese traditional culture on YSU campus. Besides, it enriched Chinese traditional culture on campus, showed the youth of contemporary college students, and helped university students to understand Chinese traditional culture, improve their humanistic quality and create an atmosphere for learning Chinese traditional culture at YSU.
