[News from News Center] From Oct. 12thto Oct. 17th, 2017 “China Aluminum Industry Cup” 11thSession of the National Non-Ferrous Metal Industry Professional Skills Competition was held at YSU National Engineering Research Center for Equipment and Technology of Cold Strip Rolling. 63 contestants from 10 enterprises, such as Southwest Aluminum Co. Ltd, presented a high level of skill operation through intense pre-season training, rigorous written tests and actual operation.

This competition was organized by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China, sponsored by China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association, China Employment Training Technical Instruction Center, and National Committee of China Machinery, Metallurgy and Building Materials Trade Unions, co-hosted by Aluminum Corporation of China Limited, China Non-Ferrous Metals Processing Industry Association, and China Nonferrous Metal Industry Human Resource Center, and hosted by YSU National Engineering Research Center for Equipment and Technology of Cold Strip Rolling.
This competition provided the staff of Aluminum industry with a broad stage to exchange experience and show their talents. While improving independent innovation capacity of enterprises, the competition strengthened the connection among talents in universities and other institutions and will push forward YSU National Engineering Research Center for Equipment and Technology of Cold Strip Rolling with non-ferrous metal processing industry. It is of great significance to give full play to the actual effects of the pilot units of the science and technology services industry, to carry out the spirits of the 18thNational Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6thPlenary Sessions of the 18thCPC Central Committee, to implement National Program for Medium and Long-term Talent Development (2010-2020) and Made in China 2025, and to accelerate the training, selection and construction of highly-skilled workers in China.
