[News from News Center] From Oct. 14thto 15th, Qinhuangdao 4thBeijing-Tianjin-Hebei Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition for College Student was held at YSU Student Activity Center, East Campus. The Competition was sponsored by Leading Group for Talents, Organization Department and Publicity Department under the CPC Qinhuangdao Municipal Committee, and hosted by Qinhuangdao Bureau of Science & Technology and YSU.

29 teams from 16 universities and colleges participated in the competition, including: Beijing University, Tsinghua University, Tianjin University, YSU, Hebei University of Technology, Hebei University, Northeastern University at Qinhuangdao, Hebei Normal University of Science & Technology. After heated competition, 3 First Prizes, 4 Second Prizes, 5 Third Prizes and 17 Excellence Awards were selected.

4 competing projects recommended by YSU won 1 First Prize, 2 Third Prizes and 1 Excellence Award, among which the “SYVR Virtual Reality Total Solution” by Shiyi VR Team from YSU Makers College won the First Prize. Chenyan Liu---Director of Municipal People’s Congress, Wenping Liu---Standing Committee Member of Municipal Committee, Director of Organization Department and Director of United Front Work Department, Tielin Yang---Deputy Mayor, Lijun Sun---Vice President of Municipal Political Consultative Conference, Weidong Meng---YSU Party Secretary, and Yongsheng Zhao---YSU Vice President attended the awarding ceremony.
As a brand activity in Qinhuangdao to promote Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei collaborative innovation, the Competition attracted many universities, colleges and entrepreneurship teams in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, which invigorates the atmosphere of “Entrepreneurship & Innovation”, stimulates the entrepreneurship and innovation among students, and promotes the exchange and cooperation between YSU and sister universities and colleges in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region.
