In the evening, Shuang Li (Ahmad) from Multan, Pakistan gave a lecture entitled Journalism, Media (in Pakistan) From Curriculum to Practice. Teacher Ling Hu from School of Foreign Studies interpreted throughout the whole lecture. Shuang Li introduced the Journalism, Media development conditions in Pakistan, and shared his working experience when he participated in producing the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. After the lecture, Shuang Li and Jing Wu (Zain) answered the questions from Chinese students. Since they have come to China before, their experience is very specific and practical. Thus, the interactive sessions are heated.

YSU teachers and students initiated and participated in the volunteering “Rainbow Program”, which aims to promote the friendship between China and Pakistan to achieve a more efficient people-to-people diplomacy. From the initiation in October, 2016, the Program was reported by many media including Hebei Daily, China Science Daily, Yanzhao Metropolis Daily, NetEase, Tencent, and hebnews.cn, producing certain influence at and outside YSU.
