YSU Won Awards in the 9th National Advertising Art Design Competition for College Students

[News from News Center]On Nov.24th, in the just-concluded 9thNational Advertising Art Design Competition for College Students, guided by Weishang Liu - teacher from YSU School of Arts and Design, the work Pack Your World designed by sophomore students Shuo Wang and Xue Song won the Second Prize. Works guided by teacher Xinju Ou, Qingwei Gu and Shan Li were awarded 1 Third Prize and 5 Excellent Awards. In Hebei session, students from School of Arts and Design won 1 Second Prize, 7 Third Prizes and 26 Excellent Awards in total, and YSU was honored Outstanding Organization Award and Weishang Liu, Chengshan Gao, Qingwei Gu and Shan Li the Excellent Advisor Award.

The 9thNational Advertising Art Design Competition for College Students was sponsored by China Association of Higher Education and Journalism & Communication Teaching Advisory Board under Ministry of Education, and hosted by the Organizing Committee of National Advertising Art Design Competition for College Students, receiving works from college student competitors in 29 competition areas covering 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities.

Under the instruction of Academic Affairs Office, this Competition extended the teaching model of promoting the education and employment by competition. This is the second time that the Visual Communication Design Major has won awards from state-level professional competition, which is also one of the teaching achievements of “Major Enters the Industry”, extension of the thinking “Classroom Teaching (Theoretical Study)-Studio (Virtual Project)-Workshop (Real Program)” based on OBE (Outcomes-based Education) model and reflection of the realization of the major upgrading path “Theory-Integration-Practice”.
