Hebei University of Science and Technology Delegation Visits YSU

[News from the News Center] On April 10, Hebei University of Science and Technology (HUST) delegation led by Vice President Zhang Danshen visited YSU for the research around the “new library space and system construction, archives operation and informationization construction”. Sheng Wanyu, Vice President of YSU, received visitors in the second reception room of the Century Building, and the heads of relevant departments and staff of the library, archives, logistics group and other staff attended the symposium.

ShengWanyu, on behalf of YSU, welcomed visitors and introduced the YSU’s historical origins, universitydevelopment, construction achievements, development orientation and characteristics, and development goals. She hoped that the two universities can learn from each other the valuable ideas and work experience of the two parties in the related work to promote the work of the libraries and archives of the two universities to a new level.

Centering around the research topics, Li Huijian, the Director of the library, introduced the situation of the new library business information system and furniture research in YSU, and proposed some ideas for the function layout, management, and service model for the new library. Sun Honglei, Director of the Archives, introduced the development of YSU's archives and some archives innovation service projects.

Zhang Danshen, on behalf of HUST, expressed her gratitude to YSU for the support and valuable experience shared in the meeting in this research activity. He highly appreciated YSU’s library work and archives work and hoped to further strengthen the exchange of work experience and jointly improve Library and Archives Management Services.

After the symposium, visitors visited YSU's archives and the new library under construction and conducted in-depth and detailed exchanges and discussions.
