[News from the news center] On the afternoon of May5, 2018 "People Network Cup" national university German dubbing competition officially started at Beijing Foreign Studies University. 20 teams from 20 universities such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Nankai University, Zhejiang University, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and Xi'an International Studies University participated in the competition. The competition consists of 7 awards and a total of 9 teams won the award. YSU team performed well and won the Best Innovation Award.
The YSU team consists of 6 students from the German Department, Zhang Jingxuan, Zhang Xinnan, Sang Yubo, Peng Qianyu, Song Xiaoxue, and Guo Xiaonan, and directed by the teacher Christopher Laufs.

In the selection "Snow White", Zhang Jingxuan made narration for the performance. Sang Yubo dubbed male voice for Snow White. Zhang Xinnan, Peng Qianyu, Song Xiaoxue, and Guo Xiaonan dubbed the unique female dwarves. The students cooperated well, and technically precise and accurate. The cross-gender performance effect was fun and won the warm applause of the audience and the high praise of the judges.
The students exchanged ideas and made progress together during the competition, demonstrating the language level and youthfulness of the German students of our university and gaining valuable experience and confidence. The German Department will also use this as an incentive to continue to increase the scale of the competitions in the department of dubbing, reading and speaking, so as to provide more exercise opportunities for the students.
