After fierce competition, YSU team won awards in various areas, including two second prizes, two third prizes, one best singing award, and Group second prize.

The competition was sponsored by the Department of Education of Hebei Province and organized by Hebei Normal University. A total of 255 foreign contestants from 18 institutions’ 53 countries overseas students in Hebei Province participated in the competition. The competition consists of two parts: Chinese Language Skills Competition and Chinese Talent Show. The Chinese Language Skills Contest has three units: Chinese character writing contests, speech contests, and cultural knowledge competitions.
In the Chinese dictation process, after fierce competition Wang Lu, an overseas student from Russia, and Dix, from Uganda, won the third prize. Bai Xue, a Bulgarian student won the second prize. She shared her personal experience in China in the impromptu speech “Studying in Hebei, Dreaming in China” with her fluent Chinese language and excellent performance, which moved the audiences particularly, the judges. In the cultural knowledge competition, Du Di from Turkmenistan eventually won the second prize with his solid traditional Chinese cultural knowledge. In the Chinese Talent Show unit, Russian student Najia won the best singing award with a "Qinghai-Tibet Plateau," and was selected to perform for Hebei TV station.
