YSU Teachers Win Awards in 2018 National Teaching Competition of Opto-Electronics Information

[News from the News Center] On Aug. 2nd, sponsored by The Teaching Guiding Committee of Opto-Electronics Information Science and Engineering in Higher Education, MoE, and hosted by YSU, 2018 National Teaching Competition of Opto-Electronics Information was held at No. 4 Building, East Campus of YSU. The competition was held to practice the guidelines from the 19thNational Congress of Communist Party of China, speed up the modernization of education, promote the reform of class teaching, and improve the teaching level and personnel training quality. 46 teachers from 33 universities and colleges participated in the competition. Their performance was graded according to their teaching design and presentation.

In this competition, four YSU teachers from the Department of Opto-Electronics Engineering performed well, fully demonstrating YSU teachers’ teaching quality and unique style. Guo Xuan, Fu Xinghu, and JinWa won national second prize, and Wu Guoqing the third prize due to their teaching skills and professional qualities.

The competition had invited distinguished Prof. Yu Daoyin from Tianjin University as the director of juries; Prof. Qin Shiqiao from National University of Defense Technology, Prof. Fu Yuegang from Changchun University of Science and Technology, Prof. Cai Huaiyu from Tianjin University, Prof. Jiang Xiaoyu from PLA Armored Force Engineering Institute, Prof. Jia Hongzhi from University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Prof. Liu Bo from Nankai University, Prof. Qiao Tiezhu from Taiyuan University of Technology, and Prof. Sun Haijin from Jiangnan University as judges; and YSU Prof. Qiao Yuefeng and Prof. Bi Weihong as expert judges.

This competition has deepened the teaching reform, stimulated teachers to renew the teaching idea, and enhanced their teaching ability, which promoted the development of teaching quality. In addition, the competition has become an important platform for teachers of Opto-Electronics Information to exchange their teaching ideas, and improve teaching ability and teaching level.
