China (including mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) has a total of 111 universities, and 72 universities are from mainland China. YSU ranks 1001+ in the world, ranking 65 among the 72 universities included from mainland China, and 94 among the 111 universities in China. YSU is the only university from Hebei Province.
The 2019 THE World University Rankings coversmore than 1,250 higher education institutions worldwide from 86 countries. The number of universities covered from mainland China is ranked #4 in the world. Tsinghua University has been ranked #22 worldwide, #1 in mainland China as well as in Asian universities. Peking University ranks #31 worldwide, #2 in mainland China universities.
TheTHE World University Rankingsis a world university ranking published annually by the Times. Since 2004, the ranking has been updated annually. The evaluation criteria for the rankings involve teaching (30%), research (30%), citation (30%), international outlook (7.5%), and industry income (2.5%).
TheTHE World University Rankings, the QS World University Rankings, the US News World University Rankings, and the Shanghai Jiaotong University World University Academic Rankings (ARWU) are recognized as the four authoritative world university rankings with a wide range of influences worldwide.
