A total of 99 universities were on the ranking list and YSU ranks #72.The first release of the QS China University Rankings aims to conduct an independent analysis of the performance of universities in mainland China. The 99 mainland universities include 42 first-class universities, and 47 first-class disciplines universities, and other 10 universities.
The QS World University Rankings is recognized as one of the four authoritative world university rankings, published by Quacquarelli Symonds in the UK. Since 2004, the agency has updated its university rankings annually. The evaluation index of 2019 China University Rankings released by QS includes eight categories, including academic reputation (30%), employer evaluation (20%), teacher-student ratio (20%), the ratio of PhD in faculty (10%), the number of citations (5%), the number of papers per capita (10%), the proportion of international teachers (2.5%), and the proportion of international students (2.5%).
