YSU retired faculty and staff held Art Performance celebrating the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up as well as Chongyang Festival

[News from the News Center] On Oct. 17, YSU retired teachers held the art performance in the Lecture Hall, No. 2 Teaching Building for celebrating the 40thanniversary of reform and opening-up as well as Chongyang Festival. Wang Baocheng, member of Standing Committee of CPC YSU Committee, YSU retired leadership and retired faculty and staff watched the performance. The opening ceremony was hosted by Li Wenbo, Party Secretary and Director of Retirement Affair Office.

Wang Baocheng delivered a speech before the performance. On behalf of YSU, he extended a cordial greeting to the senior teachers. He points out that the elder teachers have always remained faithful to the Party. This year marks the 40thanniversary of the reform and opening up, the 120thanniversary of Qinhuangdao port opening, and the 60thanniversary of the independent operation of Yanshan University. Through various activities, they strive to add positive energy to the cause of the Party and the people in their practice with original intention. Wang expresses his heartfelt gratitude to the elder leaders who have worked hard to the YSU establishment, to the elder faculty and staff who have worked tirelessly to educate outstanding talents and to promote YSU development. He stressed that senior faculty and staff has been the concern of YSU and related measures and arrangements is underway to ensure their political treatment and material amenities. It is hoped that they will continue to care for YSU development and construction, and work together to create a bright future for YSU.

The performance, beginning with the chorus“Ode to Red Flag”, contains various types of shows, including man’s solo, male and female duet, female duet, male chorus, female chorus, male and female chorus, Latin dance, classic dance, ballroom dancing, poetry recitation, and magic show. The performance ends with the chorus “Ode to the Motherland”.

This art performance was hosted by CPC Retired Teachers Committee and Retirement Affair Office, and held by Yanyun Art Troupe with the some assistance from volunteers of Liren College.
