[News from the News Center] On the afternoon of November 18, the 3rd “Love Cup” Blood Donation Knowledge Contest Finals was held in Room 109, Student Activity Center, East Campus of YSU. The competition was jointly sponsored by the QHD Spiritual Civilization Office, the CYL QHD Municipal Committee, the QHD Municipal Health Commission, the QHD Red Cross Society, and the CYL YSU Committee, and related leaders from these institutions together with more than 800 audiences attended the competition.

In his opening speech, Guo Zhimin introduced the specific situation of the blood donation programs and the achievements in QHD. He expressed gratitude to the teachers and students of the universities supporting the blood donation. In the subsequent Finals of the blood donation knowledge contest, all the competing teams experienced a series of sub-contests and the First, Second, Third, and Excellent prizes were awarded accordingly. YSU team won the Second prize in this competition.
In recent years, YSU has actively implemented the policies of the Municipal Spiritual Civilization Office and QHD CYL Committee by organizing knowledge contests, online essay writing, and issuing booklets in order to popularize blood donation knowledge. With the popularization wok, some students are inspired to take part in the donation program. Du Dacai is one of these advanced models.
