[News from the News Center] At 13:30, Dec. 13, YSU outstanding student unions report in 2018 was held at Room 209, Student Center, East Campus. Three deputy secretaries of Communist Youth League YSU Committee: Zhang Yang, Song Yueqi (student) and Zhang Feng (student), other leaders related offices and secretaries of CYL of each school were invited as the judges.
After all the participants sang the song of the CYL, Chen Zheng, the president of YSU Student Union, gave a brief report of the work of the student union in 2018 and the activities of each school, and made reflections and expectations of the student union.

The presidents of the student unions from the 14 schools gave presentations with PPT on their work in 2018. The School of Mechanical Engineering gave their reports through reflecting the activities they had and looking forward to the prospect of the school. Through the model selection he demonstrated the role of the student unionin the construction of study style and leading trend of thoughts. The School of Humanities and Law has elaborated on organizational construction, theoretical study, student work, and characteristic positions. At the end, the sand art with humanism was even more impressive. School of Economics and Management, keeping close to the spirit of the 19thNational Congress of the Communist Party of China, displayed the themed activities, and they focused on the important role of the “Integrity Station” in serving students.The School of Electrical Engineering and the School of Information Science and Engineeringtook advantage of their majors to conductvarious activities, develop platforms of WeChat, QQ and Weibo to realize online and offline double linkage, continuously carry out internal system reform and realize their own development; the presidents of student union from each school,with clear ideas and fluent speech, reviewed and summarized the work of the student union. After the judges scored on the spot, the School of Mechanical Engineering ranked the first with a high score of 94.60, and the School of Humanities and Law and the School of Economics and Management ranked second and third respectively.
This report provided a platform for the student union from each school to exchange and communicate, and enhanced their communication, which effectively improved the working ability of the student union as well as better improving themselves and striving to serve the purpose of serving students in order to contribute to the flourishing development of YSU.
