[News from the News Center] On December 10, the “2018 Hebei University Student Humanities Knowledge Contest – University Student Humanities Knowledge Contest of Five Provinces (Cities, Autonomous Regions) in North China” hosted by the Hebei Education Department (HEBED) was held in Hebei Normal University. The two YSU teams won the second prize and the third prize respectively, and the three teachers were awarded the title of “Excellent Instructor”. At the same time, YSU was awarded the “Excellent Organization Award” by the HEBED.

The Hebei Humanities Knowledge Contest has been highly valued by our university for many years. From the end of October, the Academic Affairs Office, theSchool of Humanities and Lawand other departments worked together to select 10 outstanding students to participate in the competition representing our university, and three teachers Xu Min, Li Li and Wang Yihua from theSchool of Humanities and Law were selected as instructors.After the joint efforts, YSU wins the second and third prizes.
In this competition, 78 teams from 41 universities including YSU, Hebei University of Technology, Hebei University and Northeastern University (QHD) participated. In the intense preliminary competition on December 8, and the semi-finals on December 9, YSU team performance well, and they impressed audience with their profound cultural heritage in the play of “Mang—no love from now on”.
Hebei University Humanities Knowledge Competition is a humanistic competition for undergraduate students, which aims to promote the university culture construction in Hebei province. The competition will promote the cultivation of humanities quality and innovative spirit of college students, and comprehensively enhance their qualifications as a graduate of higher education.
