[News from the News Center] On the afternoon of January 3, the working meeting for the construction of Provincial & Ministry Collaborative Innovation Center of Fine Steel Production Technology and Intelligent Equipment was held in the first reception room on the 21st floor of the Century Building. President Liu Hongmin, Vice President Kong Xiangdong, Vice President Zhang Fucheng, Academic Affairs Office, Graduate School, Science and Technology Research Institute, Human Resources, Financial Department, Laboratory and Asset Management Office, Admissions and Employment Division, Higher Education Development Research Center, School of Mechanical Engineering,School of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Electrical Engineering, School of Information Science and Engineering,National Engineering Research Center for Equipment and Technology of C.S.R. Kong Xiangdong hosted the meeting and introduced the relevant work of certification and the guidelines of MoE as well as the requirements of the subsequent construction work.
At the meeting, Prof. Peng Yan, the Director of the center, introduced the construction ideas and plans of the center in detail. The participants expressed their congratulations on the successful certification and establishment. Kong Xiangdong said that on the basis of further improvement of the ideas and plans of the center construction, the relevant functional departments should strive to support and contribute to the center development. At the same time, he said that the successful certification and establishment is the result of years of hard work of YSU staff, and YSU teachers will continuously to work for it.
Zhang Fucheng put forward guiding opinions from five aspects: basic research, interdisciplinary research, team building, and achievements transformation. Liu Hongmin made a concluding speech. He emphasized that collaborative innovation is a national strategy. It is also an important starting point for dual-level construction. We should fully recognize the importance of collaborative innovation and attach due importance to the construction and development of the center. Finally, President Liu hopes to enhance synergy through the development of collaborative innovation centers, and strongly support discipline construction and talent development with innovative quality and service contributions.
