[News from the News Center] On Apr. 26, the meeting for appraisal and approval of YSU Hebei Key Laboratory of Micro-structural Materials Physics was held at No.2 Reception Room, Century Building. Li Zhiping, Director of Platform and Foundation Division, Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and Song Shuquan, Deputy Director of Qinhuangdao Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, attended the meeting, as well as YSU Vice President Kong Xiangdong, and leaders from YSU Science and Technology Research Institute, School of Science, and the Key Laboratory.

The meeting was presided over by Li Zhiping. Prof. Bai Zhiming, Dean of School of Science, Hebei University of Science and Technology served as the leader as the expert group and directed the appraisal. Kong Xiangdong extended welcome speech on behalf of YSU.
At the meeting, Liu Yong, Director of the Laboratory, gave the work report on the construction of the laboratory, from such aspects as the purpose and orientation of the lab, research direction and content, organizational structure and operation management, scientific research achievements, team building and the plan for the next three years.The expert group visited the lab on site and went through the materials of the achievements. After questioning, defending and discussing, the expert group came to the conclusion that Hebei Key Laboratory of Micro-structuralMaterials Physics had completed the planned tasks, and that it was qualified to pass the acceptance.

Kong Xiangdong expressed sincere gratitude to the leaders and experts. He hoped that leaders and experts would continue to pay attention to and support the construction of YSU and the laboratory. Kong said that YSU would follow the valuable opinions and suggestions by experts, and YSU would take this as an opportunity to further strengthen the laboratory construction, and strive to reach a new level.
Song Shuquan hoped that the lab would draw on suggestions and committed to the development of Qinhuangdao scientific research platform.

Li Zhipingconfirmed the effectiveness of the lab construction. He hopedthat the Laboratory would plan well the next step according to the latest assessment requirements. Li hoped that the Laboratory would continue to work harder, target its goal in improving the laboratory construction and prepare for the next assessment.
Hebei Key Laboratory of Micro-structural Materials Physics was approved by Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology on April 30, 2017. Since the establishment of the laboratory, it has received strong support and assistance from institutes and departments of YSU and competent authorities at the higher levels.
