[News from the News Center] Recently, the 20thTimes Higher Education (THE) Asian University Rankings was officially released. Ranking between 351--400 in Asian universities, YSU is #70 among the 72 universities in mainland China.
This year’s ranking covers more than 400 universities from 27 countries or regions. There are 111 universities included in China, including 72 universities in the mainland, 6 universities in Hong Kong, 1 university in Macau, and 32 universities in Taiwan. A total of 26 universities in mainland China included in the top 100 list, and Tsinghua University ranked first in the Asian University Rankings for the first time.
The Times Higher Education 2019 Asian University Rankings adopts an evaluation system which includes 13 major indicators. These evaluation indicators involve the following five aspects: teaching (learning environment) 25%; research (production, income and reputation) 30%; citation (research influence) 30%; international vision (teachers, students and research) 7.5% Industrial income (knowledge conversion) 7.5%.
