When Guo Xuefeng was three years old, he was found to have extremely severe sensory-neural deafness in his ears. This means that his future will be spent in a silent world, which may render his life, education and employment challenging. Under his parents’ unremitting efforts, the young Guo Xuefeng slowly learned to perceive the sound, make a sound, read the lip language, and finally learned to speak. In 2012, Guo Xuefeng was admitted to the School of Art and Design of Yanshan University, and in 2016, he was admitted to our university as a postgraduate.
Guo Xuefeng’s “focusing, self-discipline, and resilient” personality made him excellent in academic performance and has won scholarships many times. He also actively participated in scientific research projects and published academic papers. He was awarded with YSU “Triple-A Student” and “Outstanding Graduates”. He also won the third prize in the 4th China Higher Education Design Competition. With his great ideals and convictions, he joined the Chinese Communist Party in 2018. He is optimistic and enthusiastic, with his strong organizational skills, he has led students to participate in various social activities.
