[News from the News Center] From June 2-5, YSU major of Chemical Engineering and Technology of School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering accepted the on-site review of the engineering education professional certification. Prof. Chen Li from the South China Universityof Technology, Prof. Zhang Weidong from Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Prof. Hua Wei, Senior Engineer of China Chemical Industry Society, Prof.Zhang Xiaoling from Beijing Institute of Technology, Prof. Wang Yongjiang from Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, and Associate Professor Song Xiaozong from Lanzhou University of Technology, a group of 6 experts conducted the on-site review on YSU major of Chemical Engineering and Technology.
On the morning of June 3, Vice President Zhao Yongsheng, with the relevant personnel and professional teachers, attended the review meeting. Zhao Yongsheng briefed the expert group on the development of the professional certification work of our university and the support for the certification profession. The expert group listened to the report of the head of major Liu Yuwen on the personnel training objectives, curriculum system, supporting platform and social evaluation. The teacher representatives, the heads and directors of the school and department have carefully answered and explained the problems raised by the expert group.

After the meeting, the expert group conducted a field examination of professional laboratories, libraries and engineering training centers. During the three-day on-site examination, the expert group conducted interviews with the heads of some functional departments, professional teachers, students, graduates and representatives of employers. The expert group also reviewed the teaching materials and teaching management documents such as professional training plan, course planning and teaching documents, graduation design, course teaching quality evaluation materials.

On the morning of June 5, at the feedback meeting of certification examination, the expert group gave feedback on the site inspection, affirmed the advantages of the major certified, the quality of student education and the continuous improvement work since 2016, and the professional education measures for the students. On behalf of our university, Zhao Yongsheng thanked the expert group for their hard work. He believed that the expert feedback was comprehensive and meticulous, objective and pertinent insomuch as will contribute to the construction of the major certified in our university.
Our major of Chemical Engineering and Technology passed the Engineering Education Professional Certification in 2016, which is valid for 3 years, this time is the review for the certification.
