[News from the News Center] In order to further enrich our faculty and staff’s cultural and sports life, on the afternoon of June 13, 2019 YSU faculty and staff fun games was successfully held at the First Stadium. A total of 2000 staff from 20 teams participated in the fun games.
Zhao Xianfeng, YSU Secretary of the Party Committee, Xie Yan’an and Huang Sheng, YSU Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Vice President Wang Baocheng attended the opening ceremony and participated in the competition with the faculty and staff. The opening ceremony was presided over by the Chairman of the univeristy union, Hu Tiwei. Xie Yan’an delivered a speech and hoped that everyone could enjoy sunshine and healthy life while promoting friendship and unity, and make contribution to the development of our university.

Zhao Xianfeng issued a command for the first batch of “land dragon boat” project, which started the fun sports meeting. Based on the principle of “integration of entertainment, participation and competition”, this fun sports event has set up 11 fun collective projects. The faculty and staff were full of energy, passion, and devoted themselves to the game. The teammates watched and cheered. Every team cooperated, overcame many difficulties, and fully demonstrated the team’s unity.

In recent years, our university has been advocating the working philosophy of “healthy life, happy sports” and fully implemented the health improvement program for all teachers. In 2018, the first staff fun games were held, which was highly praised by the faculty and staff. In order to encourage the teachers to do exercise and lead a healthy life, our university union further optimized the activities and enriched the team project. In the future, the union will continue to diversify the sports activities in line with the principle of “serving the faculty and staff wholeheartedly” for the well-being of our faculty and staff.
