YSU’s Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering successfully passed the professional assessment of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development

[News from the News Center] Recently, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MHURD) issued the Notice on the Conclusions of the Assessment on YSU major of Building Environment and Energy Engineering (BEEE) (Jianhuan Review [2019] No. 20). After discussion and voting by the Plenary Meeting of the Higher Education Building Environment and Energy Engineering Evaluation Committee of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, it was decided that YSU passed the professional assessment. The validity period is 5 years (2019.5-2024.5), which is the second YSU major passed the evaluation. The School ofSchool of Civil Engineering and Mechanicshas attached great importance to undergraduate teaching for many years, which lays a solid foundation for the smooth passage of professional evaluation.

YSU’s BEEEwill takeS this assessment as an opportunity, in accordance with the requirements of “First-class Majors”, closely integrate the needs of national and regional economic development, further promote the reform and innovation of new engineering construction and personnel training mode, and continuously improve students’ education. Quality, strive to establish the brand and create characteristics of YSU’S BEEE, and make greater contributions to the development of society and industry.

YSU’S BEEE was established in 2001. In September of the same year, it enrolled its’ first year of undergraduate students. In 2006, the master’s degree in architecture and civil engineering was granted. In recent years, the profession has continuously improved the quality of teaching and the quality of education, and is committed to cultivating engineering and technical personnel with solid theoretical foundation, outstanding practical ability and strong sense of innovation for national engineering construction. At the same time, the profession closely focuses on the collaborative development needs of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, with a focus on research areas such as industrial waste heat utilization, clean heating, and solar energy utilization.
