[News from the News Center] On July 11, the All-Members Conference of the College Television Committee of China Educational Television Association and the “2019 China University TV Promotion Campaign” awarding ceremony was held at Shihezi University. Under the direction of Wang Xiaoning and Nie Dongxue, the 10 videoprojectsproduced by the News Center won 5 Second Prizes and 5 Third Prizes.
Since the launch of the “China University TV Promotion Campaign” since 2011, it was held once a year. The event was hosted by the China Television Association of China Education Television Association and hosted by Shihezi University. A total of 989 outstanding works were submitted from more than 100 universities in China, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Communication University of China, and Yanshan University. The works submitted are divided into 8 categories: news, special topics, images, documentaries, variety arts, micro-films (short plays), and so on. The entries are all TV programs officially broadcasted in Universities from July 2018 to June 2019.
The China Educational Television Association was established in 1994 and is affiliated to the China Educational Television Station, which is under the guidance of the General Office of the Ministry of Education. There are more than 100 members of the China Educational Television Association, which is a platform for communication, learning among students and teaching staff in this field. The current executive deputy directors of the association are five universities including Peking University, Tsinghua University and Xi'an Jiaotong University. The secretariat is located at Peking University.
Since the official launch of the video program of Yanshan University News Center in 2001, it has produced more than 750 “Yanda News”, and has opened TV series such as “Listen to You”, “News Zero Distance”, “Campus Public Service Advertising”, and produced university propaganda film “The Introduction of Yanshan University” “Right Here Waiting for You at Yanshan University”, “Batie at Yan Da”. The center constantly innovated on the basis of ensuring the quality of the program, and strived for excellence in column setting, special planning, and in-depth reporting. Over the years, Yanshan University News Center has cooperated with various units of our university to produce video materials such as teaching reform, scientific research results, competition declarations, project summaries, work conferences, etc., and provided technical services for each school. It has become an important window for the university's internal promotion and publicity.
