[News from the News Center] On August 15-18, YSU won awards in the National Finals of the 14th China Graduate Electronic Design Competition which was hosted by Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. YSU’S project “Design of Wireless Portable EEG Acquisition System for Sleep Staging Research” won the First Prize in the technical competition, the instructor Li Yingwei was awarded prize “Excellent Instructor”, after winning the first prize in the 13thcompetition, our university once again won the award.

The competition was officially launched in March 2019. A total of 3,393 teams from 8 national sub-districts participated in the competition. In the end, 400 of the more than 1,300 students from 132 universities and universities brought in the latest electronic research results and intelligent hardware innovation products to the finals. Entries submitted for the competition covered circuits and embedded systems, electromechanical control and intelligent manufacturing, communication and network technologies, information-aware systems and applications, signal and information processing technologies and systems, artificial intelligence, and technology exploration. After the fierce competition in the finals and the rigorous review by the review experts, a total of 67 First Prizes, 98 Second Prizes and 111 Third Prizes were produced.
The China Graduate Electronic Design Competition is for postgraduate students, which is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Education's Degree and Graduate Education Development Center, theNational Graduate Education Steering Committee for Professional Engineering Degree. The purpose is to promote the reform and innovation of postgraduate educational mode in the major of Information and Electronics in order to develop their teamwork spirit, improve postgraduate engineering practice ability, and promote their internationalization. This competition also provides teachers and students of colleges and universities a platform of communication.
