[News from the News Center] Yanshan University and the Curtin University of Australia jointly organized an undergraduate education program for industrial engineering major, which was implemented in September 2015. The first batch of 57 students was admitted. In July 2018, 30 of the first batch of 57 students of 2015 class met the academic standards of Curtin University and went to Curtin University for a one-year professional study, with an overseas rate of 52.6%. In July 2019, 30 students achieved excellent results and graduated successfully. Curtin University’s average score is 80+ and the highest score is 93.75. According to the academic evaluation system of Curtin University,80 score is viewed as high distinction, and the number of Australian students with an average score above 75 is only 3% of the total. The outstanding performance of our students has been highly praised by Curtin University.
Of the first 30 students studying in Australia, 23 were admitted to the Australian National University, the University of Queensland, the University of Sydney and Monash University in July 2019 to continue their master's degree. Among them, 78.26% of the students were admitted to the top 50 universities in the QS world, and 100% of the students were admitted to the top 100 universities in the QS world. This is a joint project organized by YSUandthe Curtin University of Australia. It was approved and registered by the Ministry of Education. In September 2014, it was approved by the Chinese-foreign cooperative education project of the People's Republic of China. This is a four year program with 3 year based at YSU and 1 year at Curtin University of Australia. The graduates who meet the academic requirements at each universitywill obtain an undergraduate certificate and a bachelor’sdegree certificate from YSU and a bachelor's degree certificate from Curtin University of Australia.
