[News from the News Center] From July 21 to August 11, with extensive publicity and strict selection, the International Cooperation Office selected 13 outstanding undergraduates and postgraduates to go to New York University to attend a three-week program “International Organization Talent Training”. The project is the first time that our university has sent a group of students to participate the exchange programs abroad. The students participating in the project have received partial funding from our university.
The opening ceremony
During the study in the United States, students lived in the students’ apartment of the New York University, and attended the classes as a student officially registered with New York University. Courses include international organization professional English courses, international organization seminars and field visits and student group studies. The topics of the course cover global civil society organizations, international economic cooperation and international development, the United Nations and its series of affiliates. During the study, students participate in international professional English courses, enrich professional vocabulary, improve reading, listening, writing and expression skills, and listen to lectures delivered by experts or scholars of the New York University Global Affairs Center or international organization officials, or visit the international service institutions, such as International organizations such as the Rescue Association, the China-US Relations Committee, the United Nations Development Project Department, and the United Nations Headquarters.

During the study at New York University, students worked hard, asked questions, and actively interacted with teachers. They also developeda strong sense of cooperationand team work. Our students’ good academic performance and communication skills are highly praised by New York University instructors, experts and scholars, and international organization staff.
