[News from the News Center] At 19:00, Nov. 9, the final of the 32nd“Voice of YSU” -- campus singing competition was held at Room 109, Student Activity Center, East Campus. After heated competition, Jia Xilong from School of Electrical Engineeringwon the championship, Zhang Jihang from School of Economics and Managementthe runner-up, and Dong Junping from School of Humanities and Law the third place. Gao Jiaxin from School of Humanities and Lawwon the Most Popularity Award.

This year’s competition attracted more than 1800 students. After the audition, the preliminary competition, and the semi-final, tencompetitors stood out successfully to the final. The final began with a passionate dance by the top tencompetitors. After three rounds, Public judges, andprofessional judges voted one after another, and then the champion, runner-up, and third place finally were settled.
Many experts were invited as professional judges, including: Ning Yanpeng,(Golden Prize Winner of Hebei 7thGolden Bell Award for national singing style),Wu Di, (who won the Gold Award inthe “National Group” of the 1stNational Love Song Contest, Gold Award in the “National Group” of the 1stInternational Star Art Competition and Bronze Award in the 13thYoung Singer Competition Hebei Division),Yao Bo, (member of Hebei Musicians Association, Vice Chairman of Qinhuangdao Performing Association), andXiao Zhi, (winner ofQinhuangdao “Top Ten Hosts”, and host of Traffic Radio Music Program of Qinhuangdao Radio Station).
Hosted by YSU Committeeof the Communist Youth League and organized by YSU Student Union, “Voice of YSU” -- campus singing competition has gone through 32 years. The competition has always been adhering to fair rules and trying to present a fantastic performance for the audience with prudent attitude. In addition, it provides a platform for YSU students to pursue their music dreams and show themselves, greeting the centenarycelebration of YSU.
