[News from the News Center] Recently, the Education Department of Hebei Province released the “Notice on the Results of the Review of University Journals and Academic Journals in Hebei Province" ([2019] No. 35). The notice pointed out that the Hebei Provincial Department of Education organized experts to review 81 university journals (published in 2015-2018) sponsored by institutions and having domestic serial publications. The review work adhered to the principle of “fairness, justice and openness”. After careful review, proofreading and strict assessment by experts, the results of the review were 58 excellent journals and 18 good journals were identified. YSU publications Journal of Yanshan University and Journal of Yanshan University (Philosophy and Social Sciences) were rated “Excellent”, and Research in Teaching was rated “Good”. For the first time, the Periodical Press of YSU achieved two “Excellent” at the same time.
The achievement that the Periodical Press of YSU has made shows that the staff spared no effort in the construction of top university, which effectively promotes the enthusiasm of the journal administrators and editors. All journalists of the journals “Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind” constantly improve the level of editing and the quality of journals in order to contribute to the pursuit of constructing a “Double First-class” university.
