[News from the News Center] At 14:30, Nov. 24, YSU held the 16th“Science Park Cup” College Students’ Entrepreneurship Competition at 209, Student Center, East Campus. The project “medical robot for precise puncture” from School of Electrical Engineering won the first prize; the projects “portableintelligent test systemfor electro-hydraulic servo valve” from School of Mechanical Engineering and “AI young football player” from School of Economics and Managementthe second prize; the projects “one-stop UAV integrated management system based on six-DOF parallel mechanism” from School of Mechanical Engineering,“virtual driving simulation system” from Liren College, and “golden tax interface system” from Liren College the third prize.
XueChuanjia, Deputy Secretary of YSU Committee of the Communist Youth League attended the competition. Guan Yaoqu, General Manager of Qinhuangdao YiguTechnology Incubator Co. LTD., Wang Huakun, General Manager of K80 Entrepreneurship Park, and Han Zengkun, Vice Director of YSU Science Park, were invited as judges.

After the rounds of selection, ten teams stood out and successfully advanced to the final. The project “one-stop UAV integrated management system based on six-DOF parallel mechanism” represents the innovation, pragmatism and preciseness of the team. The project “virtual driving simulation system” is a “new concept” driving school with the latest 5G technology.The project “golden tax interface system”provides a unified procedure for rapid product classification, unified tax management, and a clear tax system.The project “portableintelligent test system for electro-hydraulic servo valve” has already established cooperation with high-tech. The project “AI young football player” is able to stimulate children’s interest in learning fun and the latest AI technology. The project “medical robot for precise puncture” is a major change to traditional open surgery and showsthe inevitable trend of the development of surgery, which is expected to contribute to modern medical technology.
Han Zengzhengproposed some suggestions to the teams. He stated that as the country is encouraging business startups and innovation nationwide,we should seize the opportunities to improve our learning ability, base project on market research and focus on actual needs.
The competition was hosted by YSU Committeeof the Communist Youth League and co-organized by YSU College Student Science and Technology Association. The theme of this year’s competition is“scientific and technological innovations, mutually beneficial cooperation”, which responds to the national call and the spirits of Premier Li Keqiang’s speeches on“mass entrepreneurship and innovation”under thenew normal of economic development. Besides, the competition encourages and stimulates students’ innovative consciousness and entrepreneurial spirit, guides and cultivates their innovative and entrepreneurial ability, and creates a good atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship on the campus.
