The 12th National College Student Advertising Art Competition

This competition is a practice of the teaching mode and philosophy - to promote teaching and employment by taking part in the competitions, which was proposed by the Office of Academic Affairs. The Department of Visual Communication Design, winning the national awards in this competition, had won four awards in four consecutive national competitions in 2017.

In recent years, the Department of Visual Communication Design has taken the initiative to carry out teaching reforms in responding to the social needs and regional social positioning, and gradually achieved a series of "design empowerment" achievements, including the design for poverty alleviation, urban civilization, and the "Double First-Class" development among others. This competition belongs to the design and empowerment for urban civilization. It is based on the extension of the OBE mode of classroom teaching (theoretical study) - studio (project research) - design think tank (practical project), which successfully reflects the professional upgrading approach of realizing the integration of theory and practice.

The 12th National College Student Advertising Art Competition, China's most influential advertising art communication platform in colleges and universities, is a national college student competition in liberal arts supervised by the Department of Higher Education of the MoE, and jointly sponsored by the Teaching Steering Committee of Journalism and Communication of the MoE, and the Advertising Education Committee of the China Association of Higher Education. The competition is so far the largest one of this kind in China covering a wide range of colleges and universities and attracting a large number of teachers and students.
