Overview

In 1958, the YSU’s School of Civil Engineering and Mechanics (SCEM) was established, whichemerged from the School of Heavy Machinery of Harbin Institute of Technology. In 1996, the Department of Civil Engineering and Mechanics was established, taking its current name, SCEM, in 2001. The school has four undergraduate programs, namely Civil Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Architectural Environment and Energy Application Engineering, and Architecture, as well as a Comprehensive Laboratory.
