YSU School of Foreign Studies won awards in the 2019 FLTRP National Foreign Language Speech Contest (Hebei District)

[News from the News Center] On November 16, the 2019FLTRPNational Foreign Language Speech Contest (Hebei District) was held in Baoding College in Hebei Province. After careful preparation and intense competition, Du Jing of the School of Foreign Studies won the first prize in the English Major group, Huang Xiaojin majoring in Japanese language won the first prize of the non-English major, and Zhangye Xiaotong from the School of Electrical Engineering won the second prize of the non-English major group. Yanshan University won the Outstanding Organization Award. YSU teachers Zhang Yu, Chen Tianhui and Li Jiyan, won the first prize and the second prize as excellent instructors respectively.

FLTRPNational Foreign Language Speech Contest is jointly sponsored by the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, the Foreign Language Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, the English Teaching Guidance Subcommittee of the Ministry of Education, and the China Foreign Language and Education Research Center. Since its inception, it becomes the foreign language speech contest with the largest number of participants, the largest scale and the highest level in China. It is recognized by our university. With rich content and rigorous form, it creates a platform to stimulate foreign language learning, demonstrate comprehensive ability, and cultivate outstanding talents. At the same time, it also contributes to promoting college English teaching, innovating teaching methods, demonstrating teaching level and promoting teacher development.
